''Dichomeris chalcophaea'' is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1921.〔(LepIndex )〕 It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland.〔(Dichomeris at funet )〕 The wingspan is 10-11 mm. The forewings are rather dark bronzy-fuscous, obscurely irrorated grey-whitish. The stigmata is cloudy, obscure, dark fuscous, the discal approximated, the second transverse, the plical rather obliquely before the first discal. There is a distinct angulated thick dark coppery-fuscous line from three-fourths of the costa to the tornus, edged anteriorly by a faint line of whitish irroration. The apical edge is coppery-bronze.
